Your Shirt – Poetry

Your Shirt

You left a shirt behind

that you had worn once

I press the fabric to my cheek

as if it were resting on your chest

so I can sleep at night

Your scent covers my senses

so that I can’t see the passage of time

I hope the warm fragrance of your soap

But I know, in time,
